Outlining the mission profile of agricultural tractors through CAN-BUS data analytics

Tractor manufacturers need to know how farmers use their agricultural tractors for an optimal machine design. usage is not easy assess due the large variability of field operations. However, modern embed sensors integrated into CAN-BUS network and data accessible through ISO 11,783 protocol. Even though this technology has been available a long time, outlining tractor still limited, because proper post-processing method lacking. This study aimed present novel classification scheme which permits outline usage. On tractor, logger GNSS receiver were installed, real-world recorded 579 h. Thus, was obtained in most realistic condition. positions classified using GIS layers while operating conditions depending on tractor’s subsystems. The highlights that showed be able detect 97% logged operated working, idle, moving duties 65%, 18% 16% respectively. allows far more precise opening opportunities obtain benefits from massively collected data.
